A couple of thoughts. Pushing the recognizable to the abstract is very cool. The single squigly hair is distracting because it is more in focus than everything else and pulls the eye. Because of the push to abstract, you can't really follow the shadow lines of the stalks, so they kind of look like smudges. Try a square crop from the lower right to the top of the frame, I think it'll flatter the graphic quality you've created.
Great composition !
The use of the B&W works very good here !
